Europe stands in the shadow of a terrible plague. The Black Death does not spare the Bulgarian lands. In those dark years, the inhabitants of the small mountain village of Raduil also face the struggle against the merciless scourge.

It is said that the village once stood three kilometers southwest of its present location. Times of hardship demand brave decisions — and the people of Raduil make theirs. They abandon the old settlement, leaving behind only the silent trace of fire…

To this day, the area is known as “Pushtinyako” — a place where time itself seems to have stopped.

In their new lands, the people seek protection.
